HELP US HELP THEM.
We are in dire need of your help to keep providing essential services for our homeless community every day. Will you help them gain the independence they need to survive this world?
Your path to a new start begins at Latrobe Street Mission.
We offer emergency shelter services, sober-living facilities, and services for homeless men, women, and children in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Homelessness doesn’t define you. You’re capable of success, and we’ll help you achieve it - one day at a time.
By providing core services and collaborating with area providers already in place, Latrobe Street Mission equips the homeless to move from survival to success.
Do you know what homelessness looks like in the Mid-Ohio Valley?
At Latrobe Street Mission, it looks like a mom and a baby who fell on hard times and found themselves on the streets. Or a family that just a few months ago had what others deemed "a good life." It looks like a veteran who got lost in the system and had nowhere else to go.
Here at Latrobe Street Mission, one thing is constant - the ever-changing face of homelessness.
Men, women, children, families....old, young, retired, unemployed, veterans...they are all people with a story and set of circumstances that just might surprise you as you discover that you have more in common than you think.
Our residents are equipped to address the circumstances behind their crisis and guided as they seek resources to address their unique situation. When core services are delivered by passionate staff and volunteers, residents begin to experience life change.
With the help of our community and those who are willing to extend the hands and feet of Christ to show them a better way, we are changing lives every day. Will you join us in this work?
Our Core Services
Emergency Homeless Shelter
The Emergency Shelter fulfills immediate basic needs (food, shelter, clothing), connects individuals with available resources, and guides them toward experiencing freedom and self-sufficiency. Shelter services are available to men, women, and children. Separate, secure areas separate men from women and children.
The Key Sober Living Facility
The Key is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We are a democratically run, self-supporting, and drug-free residence.
The Key represents a remarkably effective and low-cost method of preventing relapse. Our newly renovated facility houses over 30 male residents.
Organize a used clothing drive
at your church or business!
Our new "Trailer Drop" program is an innovative way to make a positive impact on the community while also supporting Latrobe Street Mission.
We’ll drop off our trailer at a location of your choice while you host a used clothing drive to benefit Latrobe Street Mission. The collected clothes are then recycled, and the funds generated help us advance our mission.
By participating in this program, you can make a meaningful contribution to Latrobe Street Mission's efforts to support vulnerable, homeless individuals and families in the community. Additionally, you can help reduce waste and promote sustainable practices by recycling clothes.
“Go Ed go!!”
One month after returning to Latrobe Street, Ed has a job, got rid of his walker and wheel chair, got his drivers license and is progressing faster than most able bodied individuals do. He has the HEART of a lion and the WILL of warrior.
